Swedish International Men’s Amateur Championship will be hosted 24-26 September at Sölvesborg Golf Club. It is the final event of the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit (EAOM) 2026.

The European Amateur Order of Merit (EAOM), launching with a pilot season in 2026, was created by the European Golf Association (EGA) and its member federations with the objective of improving the landscape of elite amateur golf in Europe.
The EAOM consists of two series of approximately 15 already-established elite amateur events in Europe for both men and women, run in collaboration with national golf federations.

The competition will be played over 54 holes of stroke play.
A maximum of 120 players will play 18 holes each day of 24 and 25 September. The 60 lowest scores plus ties will qualify for the final 18 holes played 26 September.
Practice rounds on the 22 and 23 September are included in the entry fee.
Entry fee is 2000 SEK (approx €185) and must be paid in full upon arrival at the golf club.

Participating players must:
Be of male gender
Be born 2013 or earlier
Have Amateur Status in accordance with the current Rules of Amateur Status as published by R&A Rules Limited and the USGA
Hold a WHS Handicap Index (or other equivalent) of 0.0 or better
Be a member of a golf club and/or a golf union
The starting field will consist of a maximum of 120 competitors.
The following players are guaranteed a place in the field:
Players winning a Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit event in 2026
The leading 60 players in the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit Ranking after the Back-Nine series
The leading 10 U18* players in the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit Ranking after the Back-Nine series
The leading 15 players in the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit Ranking after the Front-Nine series
The leading 5 U18* players in the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit Ranking after the Front-Nine series
*U18 player = Born 1 January 2008 – 31 December 2013
The remaining places in the starting field will be decided in the following order:
6 wild cards decided by the Swedish Golf Federation
Highest ranking on the Men’s R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking
Lowest handicap
The competition is played according to the following terms of competition:

Any additional term of competition the championship committee decides
It is the responsibility of each player to know and follow the Terms of the Competition. A breach of the terms of competition conditions may result in disqualification.

The winner of the 2026 Swedish International Men’s Amateur Championship
The winner of the 2026 Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit*
*To be eligible for the reward, the player must have competed at the 2026 Swedish International Men’s Amateur Championship. If the winner of the Men’s European Amateur Order of Merit has not competed at the 2026 Swedish International Men’s Amateur Championship the reward will go to the runner-up of the 2026 Swedish International Men’s Amateur Championship.
The women’s EAOM-series will also visit Sweden during the 2026 season. The European Ladies’ Amateur Championship will be hosted at Allerum GC 22-25 July. Read more.
